Our Story
Welcome to Dlux Cakes, where our passion for cake-making began as a delightful hobby in Sri Lanka. Initially, I started my career as a draftsperson, but my love for baking inspired me to enrol in a cake-making course. This experience ignited my confidence, allowing me to create delicious cakes for friends and family that not only tasted great but also looked stunning. As word spread, requests for my cakes grew, and I found joy in celebrating special occasions through my creations.
After relocating to England with my husband, I continued my journey in the cake industry by working at a renowned cake shop. During this time, I further honed my skills at Brooklyn College in Weybridge. Over the years, my dedication to cake design earned me Seven prestigious awards, solidifying my reputation as a creative cake artist.
In 2013, after being made redundant and welcoming our second child, I decided to turn my passion into a family business. Since then, Dlux Cakes has flourished, growing stronger with each passing year. My daughter, with her natural talent for creativity, is exploring the art of sugar paste modelling and sharing her journey on her YouTube channel. My son, the cheekiest member of our family, excels in cake tasting, while my husband ensures that every cake meets our high-quality standards and is delivered across the country.
